Lineage: Green Crack X Space Queen [maybe]
THC Avg: unknown
It was very difficult to find any reliable information about this strain, but the claim that it’s Green Crack onto Space Queen seems plausible. From the smell and bud structure of this sample I would also posit that it might have something more like Blue Dream instead of Green Crack, but I could just be mistaken. The bud structure from the exterior looks tighter than the buds are inside where there is moderate spacing of the bud pieces around the center stem, but the calyx spacing is still fairly dense. The trichome density on this sample is excellent, and microscope photographs show excellent gland maturity with low damage from handling. Even the interior stem on this sample has mature trichomes interspersed with the typical needlelike cystolith hair structures.
The smell of the ground bud is a rich tropical sweetness that reminds me of Hawaiian genetics, the aroma ends on a high note which I cannot place, almost like a creamy haze. The taste of the bud unfortunately did not come through in the smoke of this sample, and the flavor was pretty flat, actually a bit musty tasting, without the sweetness or fruitiness I was hoping for. I don’t know what happened with the flavor here, a bit disappointing. However, the bud burnt down to a soft bright white ash, indicating the bud had been properly flushed.
The high was a bit of a slow creeper up to a moderate level of a roughly equal mix of head and body high. I wasn’t able to pin down any specific feelings arising from the high other than just the general feeling; that is to say no particular headspace etcetera for me on this sample. It might just be that my specific tolerance towards this bud is higher than normal, because it certainly looked quite good under the microscope. Overall this bud was good, and I would try another sample in the future to see if the taste improves on a future batch as I like the smell and look of it quite a lot.
